1/4" Standard Flake

1/8" Micro Flake

How the Flake System is Installed
A high-quality flake floor requires a strict multi-layer protocol. First, we diamond-grind the slab to expose open concrete pores. Next, we fill all cracks and joint gaps with rigid epoxy patch compound. We then apply our high-solids moisture vapor barrier epoxy primer basecoat. While this basecoat is wet, we broadcast vinyl color chips into the floor to refusal (meaning the floor is covered 100% in flakes). Once cured, we reclaim the loose chips and use flat scrapers to shave the floor smooth. Finally, we apply two clear, chemical-resistant polyaspartic topcoats to seal the flakes.
